Yeah Sweetwater has to file it and the money gets credited to them. Given the volume of SWs account with FedEx I am sure they will immediately approve it. That's probably why SW offered the $500 off already.Vladimir Putin wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 4:22 pm Don't fix it until you file the FedEx claim. Also, Sweetwater may have to file since they were the shipper but either way definitely explore this route. They're the ones that damaged it.

Sounds like everyone gets compensated and now Steve gets a sick cab for $500.Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 4:56 pmYeah Sweetwater has to file it and the money gets credited to them. lolol yup!
I like 5150s. The rest of you bullshit amps can get fucked.
Re: Acceptable offer on the broken Uberkab?
I'll sell it to you for $800 don't worry.
FedEx will pick it up and "drop" it off at your house. JK of course, and yeah im pretty happy overall. I can move it almost (50%?) back into place with my hands and im a bitch so I'm certain with some clamps it will be a perfect fit and sealed.

Titebond is the way to go. I’m a hobbyist woodworker and always have a ton of it on hand.Maddnotez wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 4:22 pmWell yeah, someone showed me the clamps to use and they're cheap. Was going to get some loctite or maybe that tite bond.greatmutah wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 4:12 pm So not bad then. And you’ve got a fix lined up for it? Awesome. Tite-bond wood glue is great btw.
There were a couple of other ideas posted as well to fix. I posted it in rig talk as well asking how to fix and got some good info.
Titebond III is the glue I’d use for this seam.

That’s what I used to repair my headstock break on my Les Paul 10+ years ago and it’s still stable as a rock.

I'll probably order that and the clamps today and get it going soon

Seriously, ratchet straps will work better in this case.
