PSA: Possibly last ever Egnater Amp Building Seminar.

For anyone interested, it looks like Bruce is wrapping up his seminars. A few GGFers are seminar alumni already and can attest to how cool this experience is. You also end up with a great 50 watt hot rodded Marshall style amp. I have no personal affiliation with Bruce outside of having taken the class.

I would love to do this. It gets pricey with flights and accommodation but I'm seriously considering.

The Seminar amp is pretty killer, I've been thinking of getting one even if I don't attend the seminar.

Keep an eye on his Facebook as he sometimes posts amps that he builds around when he does the classes. They pop up used too of course.

I did it twice. It’s worth it.

I’m lucky to be about a 3 hour drive away though.

Bruce is a super nice guy. Cool to hang out with for a few days.

He takes the mysterious bullshit out of amp building.

His fx loop design is the best imo. Simple series. Tube Buffered. Works perfectly to use your seminar amp as a standalone power amp.

besides this class, where does one with no kind of electrical knowledge start if they want to learn about amp building?? someone has had to written a book or something??

I attended an amp fest probably 15 years ago, and out of many amps in attendance, the Egnater seminar amp was easily my favorite. Even though I have zero soldering skills, I could be in on this.

Bruce won’t let you fail. He’ll get you up to speed on soldering pretty quick and he always goes over and cleans up everything anyway.
