KSR Orthos?

Post by spawnofthesith »

I have a potential trade offer of an Orthos for my badlander 50. I'm intrigued by the offer, don't really have any experience with KSR other than hearing them at a CO amp fest like a decade ago

Any thoughts on the Orthos or this trade?

I like the KSR amps. They are dark-ish sounding, but you can still get them to cut through the mix well. That said, I wouldn't trade a Badlander for one.

I am not a fan of KSR amps. But if you like the Fryette Deliverance, I think you will like it. It has a similar roundness to the low end and dryness to the overall tone. Yes, darker than the Deliverance, but still in that general ballpark, maybe with more gain.
