NPD - Beetronics Swarm

Post by ElDirtySanchez »

I got this Tuesday but finally got a chance to play around with it. I've wanted to try their stuff years ago but never got around to it.
This thing is crazy, you can run it as just a fuzz pedal. The fuzz has a nice thick velcro quality to it and isn't muddy. Then when you start playing around with the other knobs, it can get crazy. The queen knob is your high harmony, drone is the low harmony and species is the interval of the harmonies. The string and flight are modulation, I am still really trying to figure out what those really do. They're interactive with each other and once you get to like noon on them, you get all kinds of weird sounds. The worker knob is the fuzz level and on the side is the volume.
Definitely not a fuzz that will appeal to a lot of people.

That’s awesome. Beetronics has such a good aesthetic and their stuff seems super cool. I’ve been real close to pulling the trigger on a Nectar or Abelha. Would also love to try a Seabee at some point.

Enjoy it!

Yeah their videos are great, and I just love the aesthetics of their pedals inside and out. Their PCBs are just as cool to look at as the outsides.
The video that really sold me on the Swarm was Andy using it to cover King Crimson
