I mean, I imagine you’d hear sumthin flopping around a bit. But also those chassis fit pretty tight in that headshell that it’s possible it’s simply sitting in there loose. Just sumthin to check on
The bolts are definitely there and seem tight. But I’ll double check them and see what’s there. Chassis itself isn’t moving or rocking around in there. The only screws I’m missing are the ones that would have held the wood panel for the grill

I honestly think the only other thing I really want at this stage in my life is some kind of SLO which is definitely going to be a few years out before I purchase one. The Peavey was cheap enough to do before real life came up (I’m also replacing my whole driveway this week). And it sounds exactly how I want it to sound. I never had one of these with Greenbacks or even Sheffields. It’s always been V30s in the past. With the Greenbacks, I hear more of the VH balance type tones than I’ve ever heard from this amp. It’s kind of amazing to me. I can’t play like Ed to save my life but hearing a semblance of that sound is crazy good. So in the spirit of being a fanboy… I think I want to grab an Eventide unit for this thing. Either the H9 or H90. I probably won’t use it for much else, but it’s something I think would be awesome to have.

On the whole I’m super happy with this amp. I got some good volume time with it today and it’s been great. No disrespect towards the 5153 that I briefly had but I think I just prefer the Peaveys for this kind of amp.

Its been too long since I played a Peavey Fiddy.
Nope, I don't need one. Definitely not. (I'm trying to convince myself.)

You absolutely should be doing this. I imagine it’ll be fan-fucking-tastic too.

The SLO and H90 are game changers. I can't play like Ed either, but goddamn is it mind blowing how fun and good it sounds. The OG5150 is surprisingly close so if you get the H90 you're most of the way there.

Bonus points, the H90 does so much more than just Micropitch.

Yeah an H90 is probably in my future. Maybe early next year. You know what’s funny? I kinda want a Wolfgang or Music Man Axis again too hahaha. Closest I had was a Peavey HP Special which was sweet but I sold it. The current Fender MIM Wolf’s are pretty damn nice though.

Yeah the H90 will be my next purchase. I want to set up a small rack with the power station and the H90, to use with the Super Lead or using the IR-D as a preamp.

Pretty sure that I bought a Tverb off of you years ago. Drove up from Cleveland. Anyway, I was just in Ann Arbor for, well you know. Would have brought the Syn-1 with SLO module for you to give a run through for giggles if I would have known. Will be awhile before I get back up there.

It was me you bought the T Verb from! Next time you swing up, drop me a PM before hand. We’ll see if we can meet up. Won’t hurt to try.

Funny enough, my MIM Wolfgang is one of my go to guitars over the past couple years. Amazing player and really comfortable and lightweight. Hits in the same ballpark as an LP

I think Fender MIM in general is really good these days. Whether is the EVH guitars and amps or Charvel or the Fender Player series etc. They make good instruments

The Fender US factory in Corona and the Mexican Ensenada factory are only a 3hr drive away from each other, so there is a lot of crosstalk between the two factories. It's a very different setup than an overseas Asian factory where things get QCd by the US brand only after they're shipped here.
Despite the fact that there is a border between them, the 2 factories are pretty much "local" to each other. I actually visited both factories on the same day in 06 when I was still at L6.
