New guitar. New interface. New DAW. Sittin' in a motel room so everything is direct. First new riff with this guitar. No bass, so it's the guitar with an octave pitch shifter going through the processing I usually throw on a bass. Aside from some possible mastering issues (pumping? Fading? Something I can't sort with headphones?) I think that's enough to make me throw away my amps.
Not really. But hey, it ain't bad.
Kazrog 5150 thingy throughout. GGD Nastier than Thou, from Invasion. Really diggin' playing passive pups again. Thinking my ears may be burnt in from the actives over the last few years.
I've been using the Genome plugin lately and haven't turned my amps on in a month. Thinking about trying out the STL AmpHub free trial sub to see if they have anything over there worth a shit. This sounds good enough for rock for me man!!!
Yeah, if you aren't addicted to volume and feedback, there's countless options today to avoid it. I like Genome too, but it's a resource hog in a field of resource hogs. I'm assuming Two Notes will keep making it more efficient. It's pretty young yet.
