Picked this up to use at band practice. We run everything through mixer and into IEMs when rehearsing. For the longest time I was micing my cab with some random vocal mic my drummer had laying around. Always was pretty meh sounding and I’m lazy and inept and don’t care much for fussing around with mic placement. Recently been going direct to the board with captor + IR loader, also very meh.
A lot of the venues around here use these mics and I always very much enjoy the sound of them. And the whole “just dangle it wherever over the amp” approach is also perfect for my laziness/ineptitude
Looking forward to using it tonight

Surprised you didn't have better luck running the Captor and Sonicake IR loader, but the E906 is a classic for a reason.
To be fair, it’s not -entirely- the IR setups fault. For whatever reason, distorted guitar from any source through my drummers ancient mixer sounds kind of bad no matter how much fiddling I’ve tried
Fortunately also just bought this. “Upgraded to a Behringer” sounds like an oxymoron . In any case, the e906 wins out through either mixer. But yeah everything sounds way better with this thing. And there’s never a substitute for moving air. Can’t feel vibrations in your sternum when going direct
