Though I'm not using my recently acquired DSL100h as intended - I play it within 2ft of it at relatively low volume - I am enjoying the dirty tones in the green channel and the cleans in the red channel .
Anyway, I noticed it was making this high-pitched mechanical buzzing, a tinny metallic vibration. Channeling childhood experiences, I smacked the cab and the noise went away!

For sure. I’ve never stopped that trick. My old lady starts making some noise I’m not happy with and SMACK! 5 to the face! Am I right?
A swift kick in the chassis can also provide good results.
