Forgot about that Mark roar. Crushing and tight focused chugs. Blistering smooth leads. All the cliches and buzzwords
At this time the idea of doing a headshell conversion has left my mind. Surprised at how tight it he gain remains and the low end holds up with the open back. Also mics up very easily/well. 10/10 will be using at my next gig
Unbelievable loud too for a 1x12

If you don’t do a head conversion you should absolutely get the thiele cab with a MC90 for sure. Make a massive sounding combo into a massive sounding mini stack.

Agreed except I'd personally recommend the EV12L loaded Thiele. Mine came with the MC90 and it was good, but it's even better with the EV.
Either way, definitely get the matching Thiele cab. It will hang with any half stack when you really get it moving air.
I was peaking around at some Mesa cabs locally… there’s an ev thiele for $500 but there’s also a ev loaded 2x12 meaa cab for the same price… and I’d be able to use a 2x12 with my roadster/other heads. But then again a combo and 2x12 would not look cool and would defeat the purpose of not converting
I still didn’t try it with my t75 loaded 2x12 might give that a go at practice next week. I’m not sure a mark and t75s are considered much of a pairing though. I wish my EVH 2x12 had higher power handling so I could try it with that. I all around like thst cab better with my other heads it can take

You'd been fine unless you're cranking it, especially with any of the power/voltage reducing modes engaged (tweed, Class A, triode). Mesa is liberal with wattage ratings and Steve Fryette says the pentode 90W Simulclass power section really only puts out 65W when driven. The Mark IV would be a bit less since it's rated for 85W.

Word, I was figuring class A/tweed would make it doable, will check that out too.
It's at my drummers house now tho
Have practice again wednesday and I'm going to run it through that t75 2x12 for the evening. All my cabs are 16ohm though. the 8 ohm output should be a safe mismatch as per mesa though, correct?
