It isn't working with the GT-1000 Core, which is the unit I've had the most experience with in terms of using another product (ES-8, MS-3, MC8) to change things with midi PC/CC messages. So no, I did not.

Since I've eliminated the midi cable I thought might be an issue, it is the unit itself. No debugging app needed.
gotcha.... I will say the MS3 and ES8 and notorious for bad Midi implementations and have known issues that Boss seem to not care about fixing. A friend of mine spent quite some time with Boss support trying to get his MS3 to control his 3 Strymon pedals and his EVH amp, which technically the MS3 should have no problem doing this but still would send the wrong messages to devices when all were connected, you remove any of the Strymon's from the configuration... worked perfectly... was really strange... but Boss said they know they have problems sending more than 3 messages at a time even though the MS3 allows you to send more than that.

I know the Morningstar controllers allow you to specify which MIDI output is being used to send the messages depending on the channel, be it the Omni Jack, regular MIDI output or USB and you can send different messages to each depending on your configuration, default is all outputs get the same message.

Only reason I brought up the debugging app was because that helped me realize I had configured my MS3 incorrectly when I was setting it up for some function when I first got it.
I can't remember what my signature was..... I'm sure it was something interesting..... :quote:
