Bit of a writing spell. capitalize when it’s hot! Getting back to some of the more grind aspect of my past bands. I sorta stopped the REAL extreme stuff for a bit. I think I needed the space from it after being immersed in only the dirtiest and extreme shit from my last band of 15 years.

Anyway, this is just the “rough” demo. Still a lot of copy/pasting of the writing session. One thing about the modern DAW that really is a great songwriting tool. Can try different parts here or there and just cut, copy and paste until it sounds like a song.

All GGD contender plugin. Evh 5153 el34 100 watter Red channel. With gain on like 8! Haha. I found this actually gets more in line with the old 5150 combo and its level of gain and saturation. But it’s better. I already hear a part or two I’m gonna edit down a bit. But this is a small let forum and not TOo many death metal heads around, so not super necessary to make sure I only present final versions. Cause y’all are generally not super picky and gay like some of these so called metalheads can be. lol.

Still need vox and solos. But hopefully the riffs carry the song for now..

Lol. Surprisingly it’s not my intent. But in my old band, especially the other “main” guy his intent was to definitely invoke some sort of sickness in people. I really never intend to do that. Whatver comes out is what I write. And getting a little corny, cause even tho I think this thru a lot, usually after I have the riffs and ideas, I try to create from the animal/monkey mind! Not thought. Just let the hands do whatever it is they do..

But like I said once it’s there, For example in this song some of those harmonies are not just 2 part but 3 part harmonies. And I certainly work out what chords they make. I’ll use what bit of music theory I know for that aspect. And then for instance during the crazy fast part, there was a “mistake” where I played basically the very start of the riff together and then I messed up and missed about 4 notes (and these 4 notes last about .5 of a second, where it’s actually a half step harmony! And it totally made that part pretty sick. It’s rare to make the half step harmonies work right but it was the perfect mistake to make that part better. It’s honestly my favorite part of the song. Hah
