Re: Milwaukee M12 Power Supply and The Quad Cortex

I have an update: 1. It’s center positive. Using a Voodoo Lab polarity reverse lead will power a Quad Cortex. 2. A 6.0Ah battery will power said Quad Cortex for two hours. 3. It isn’t a great long-term solution to the problem, but it does work if you’re traveling, and you have a shit load of M12 bat...

Re: Cool retro atomic space age bass

I dig it. I won’t buy it, for the following reasons:

1. It’s not headless
2. It’s not multiscale
3. It’s not made of composite materials
4. It doesn’t have a trem
5. I prefer six strings, but I’ll play four

But, aesthetically, I’d be all over that.

Re: NGD = Pointy V Collection++;

I only see him as a clickbait generator, so I assume he hates the Quad Cortex. Good thing, too, because that’s what I’m currently using.

Re: NGD = Pointy V Collection++;

I can hear Glenn Fricker ranting about how Gibson can’t make a good guitar, and how you’re just paying for the names on the headstock. He had a particular hatred for the Mave V, and made several videos defending his thesis. Fuck, I’m glad I’m only interested in an Aristides H/06. But, on a serious n...

Milwaukee M12 Power Supply and The Quad Cortex

Good evening, I have a thought about how to power effects pedals: Milwaukee makes a power supply for USB, and their heated gear, using their 12v lithium ion batteries. Model number 48-59-1201, for those familiar with Milwaukee tools. The plug for the heated jacket is the same size as a Boss barrel-t...

Re: POD Express Demo

My brother owns one, and really digs it. I must admit, it does sound nice, if you EQ it properly, which he does not - he tends to be a bit icepick-y. This is good, though.

Yeah, dw released an eKit that is priced into the stratosphere. Probably really good, too.

Re: I'm starting to think he does it on purpose

Starting? I knew he was doing it on purpose from Day One. There are some NICE Wylde Audio guitars, make no mistake about it, but most of them, this one included, are, in one word, hideous.

Update: Two Dunlop DVDA pedals later, and HOLY SHIT, I HAVE WAH, WHAMMY, AND TWO FREE BUTTONS. Yeah, I’m a believer now.

Re: NMD: One Hour To Sound Better

A few points I forgot to mention: 1. The touchscreen is very responsive, and the QC doesn’t take forever and a day to boot up. I like that. 2. I was having issues with the output, as in a lack thereof. It took a few minutes to determine that it was my headphones that were causing the problem. A few ...
