I really wasn't planning on buying a new amp but this popped up on Reverb and ever since I played one back in 2016 I figured if one popped up for the right price and I had to cash I'd get it.... that time was a little over a week ago..... and this morning it was delivered

ALLLLLLLLMOST perfect match to my OS 2x12, the grill cloth is the same colours just slightly different pattern

spent some time with it this evening and I was really happy with how my Ernie Ball Stingray sounded with it, the SG was good but, the Stingray just worked better with it to my ears.....
going to have fun over the next few days and this weekend tweaking my pedalboard to work with this rig..... funny enough this was just in time for BOTR 2024!
I can't remember what my signature was..... I'm sure it was something interesting.....
Oh damn!!! Congrats man!!! I really miss this amp. I want to buy another one eventually. Both channels sound great, it's loud after and really light and easy to carry. The DI out is awesome too.

man its SO MUCH LOUDER than I was expecting lol..... the clean channel on 2 will get over a drummer no problem and still has head room.... I saw some demos where guys had that channel set at 4 and 5 and I wouldn't want to be in the room with the amp set like that...
As for the DI... I need to do some testing with it... sucks that the 50 doesn't have the internal load like the 20 but if it sounds as good as what I've seen online it's nice to know I don't have to fuss with mic placement and shitty sound companies that want to hang a 57 over my cab instead of using a mic stand

Yeah Dave mentioned that adding a load to the 50w would add a lot to the size and weight of the head because the size of the resistors and the larger heatsink etc.... but the DI is excellent anyway. I used it a lot when I was gigging with it.
that makes sense and pretty much what I figured was the case.... I think next week some time when I have a minute I'll hook up my Captor X and record from the DI and from the Captor and compare them.... if the DI is as good as or close enough to the Captor X I'll be glad to leave the Captor X at home when I go to gigs now, provided it's not a gig where I have to go without my cab... which isn't often thankfully
