Got to see Social Distortion soundcheck on my lunch break

Post by Lukeburke1 »

My office is across the street from the venue they’re playing at tonight. I stepped outside and found a spot under the fence where I could see.

iPhone video doesn’t do it justice, but they sounded great. Amps were Fender Bassmans and some sort of Divided by 13 heads.

Bad Religion is opening for them on this tour. I’m more of a BR fan than Social Distortion, so I’m hoping to catch theirs too.

Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II
Gibson SG-3
Gibson Les Paul Special
Marshall JCM 800 2204—Emperor 2x12 (UK Vintage 30s)
Vox AC30HWH—Janice Cabs 2x12 (Greenbacks)

That’s awesome! I dig Social D a lot so this would be super cool for me to stumble upon in person. They sound solid too. Bad Religion is also awesome.

That singer's voice has held up really good! Still reminded me of when I first heard them as a kid.
