Good day amigos!

I had been feeling the urge to splurge a little bit lately, wanting to check out amps and had sort of a short list of things I wanted to check out. One of them being Morris amps. Morris has been doing a lot of Hot rodded Plexi-ish amps lately, and those were catching my ear especially, but don't come up used really, and he also has a higher gain amp (the Sirrom) which some people had described as almost between a Marshall and a Mark series, which sounded great to me. On paper I want a Plexi, but in real life, I want something more modern, this hits that crossroad perfectly.

Single channel, low and hi input, same knob setup as an 800 plus depth control.

Low output reminds me of my old 800, but perhaps a touch more gain. Hi output has a of of gain, but retains that character. Amp cleans up really nice with the volume knob.

I didn't really snap any photos besides it sitting on my desk and some damage (that "happened in shipping". somehow :quote: one of the chassis screws is different), but here's a quick out of tune video or two.

Even with phone audio, that amp sounds like it stomps ass. Nice!

Would you be able to have an A/B pedal hooked up to both inputs as a quasi channel switcher for low and high gain?

I'm not sure. If I had an A/B switch I'd test it just for fun. I could probably reach out to Glen and find out.

Congrats on the cool amp! Like I said in your comment on YT, there is a strong sense of wanting one of those Sirroms now! That said, I really would love to hear a Perplex'd S3 too.

I Was wanting to check out the Muscle 69/70, but I think he kind of morphed that into his current UK67 and UK68. Those would be my “ideal” I think, but the Sirrom is sweet in that it can do pretty classic Marshall crunch on the low input, and then hot rod heaven on the high input.

Seriously this circuit has my attention now! I was mostly intrigued by the Perplex'd, but this is pretty damn good!
