They'll get my money when they do a Sustainor or Distortion Generator pedal. Until then, no sale!

I knew a really good EVH player back when I was in high school and he had some Rockman stuff going into the front of a Marshall of some type. Back in the late 80's, I only knew that it was a "Marshall" but not the specific model. So would that just be some type of boost?

This is one of those I would have killed for as a teenager. If it's cheap, I'll probably grab it just to get my nostalgia on.

No it's not a boost its full distortion with effects. It was made to go direct but club PAs were shit back then so a lot of players would run the Rockman into the low input of an amp dialed clean.

I had a Laney AOR 1/2 stack and one of my friends asked me to let him use it for a show. I get there and he had a little Rockman plugged into the low input. At first I was like WTF but it actually sounded awesome lol

Depending on the price I might just grab one of these to mess around with! I always had a soft spot for the tones the Rockman preamps put out.
Guitars:
Way too many, yet not enough

Amps:
I need more than just Jet City amps

Effects:
There's always room for another

Got it. That dude must have been using the clean channel on the Marshall then. I would give this a shot for sure. Don't know anything about it yet, but I am in at the moment.

I think this would be really cool to mess around with for a lot of those blended 80s rock sounds. Satch, Lynch, MacAlpine, ZZ Top, Def Lepp, etc.

I have a pretty decent Rockman profile on my Kemper, but I'd prefer:

1) Pedal format
2) Reasonably priced
3) New

$230 seems not the worst (what one website reported), and if the tone is there it's worth the price considering the used market for Rockman gear.

I'm definitely in.
