Nice! I’m very jealous, I’ve been GASsing hard for an 800 lately.
Would love to hear a shootout of this against your 1987x and Mojotone 2203
I definitely have to do this!!!!!! This amp is meaner and heavier than both, but they all sound good. It will be an interesting comparison.

I've been a Mesa guy most of my life, but hearing my bandmates 2555 + Les Paul for the last year has made me question my past decisions.
If I ever go back to playing guitar again, I might need to make some life changes.

I love a good Mesa too though. I still need to find the right one at the right price.

I still like Mesa. Currently I have one guitarist running a Mesa TC-50 with V30s on my right and another with a Marshall 2555 and G12Ts on my left. The pair of them is pure gold in the mix. I've come to appreciate the way the Marshall melts into my SVT, and the Mesa just sorta blasts through the mids and sits on top of everything in a way that makes the band sound thick yet defined.
Typically, I think of Mesa as the scooped rhythm amp and Marshall mid forward lead amp, but this band has inverted that and it sounds great.

Sounds like a killer score. I've only played one personally, it sounded great. If they vary widely and this one spoke magic that makes it that much better.
I didn't read every comment, just waking up but I think I saw something about the power and yeah, i would get a captor, suhr or some type of power soak. These things like to be LOUD.
I kind of miss that. While it is nowhere near Marshall Master Volume territory when I had a Pitbull that amp sounded a little better with the MV full max.
Where as I feel my Ultra sounds better at lower (normal) volumes. Of course I'm still playing around with it and never really opened it up yet for my neighborhood sake.
Anyway, would love to have an 800 and it sounds like you got a deal.
