I think it sounds alright now. Now I can get back to recording actual songs.

Clip dedicated to metal-kittay Alvin, The Dude, The Little Fucker. When he could still get around if he heard guitar even on the TV he would run to my room because he didn't want to miss it. He loved to set himself up about four feet in front of the amp when it was blasting and just lay there doing the kitty love squints at it. Crazy little fucker probably had no hearing left at all by the end. The tubes were waiting for us when we got home from putting him down. He'd a dug this clip. Nothing gave him more love squints than the deep throbby ones. Which inspired this brief foray into chug-town. Hope he's at the biggest metal concert ever up there, hanging out on stage right in front of a wall of Marshalls.

So sorry to hear about Alvin man, he sounds like he was an awesome cat. We rescued three 1-day-old kittens back in May, so now we have three teenage terror cat brothers destroying our house and generally being very cute menaces, but no interest in my guitar playing yet.

Clip sounds great. Chewy in a great way with the bass under it.

Thanks, bros. I'm fuckin' lovin' this tone. It brings the even at low volumes, but pumped to 10 where the power tubes start to saturate and bloom? Fuck my face, it rips in this little room.

Can't believe I forgot to say what amp. As greatmutah said, it's the DSL20, pumping the Mesa widebody 1x12, with a Broughton Audio Resonant Frequency EQ in the loop. That thing is a godsend. It allows you to put a high and low pass, then boost at the same frequency you're cutting. On the high end, I barely do anything with it, but on the low end? You can run the pass around 95-100hz, then pump a db or two to bring back the low-end you lose, yet retain definition and not get that mushiness. Amp alone = monster. Amp with EQ on = monster right after a day at the salon.
