Just had a marketing email from Gibson pop into my inbox about these. Really wish Gibson would use jumbo frets on some models. The medium jumbo's on the last 3 newer LP's that I have picked up have been way to low for my liking. One fret dress/level and the guitar would be unplayable.

I don't hate them but it's not something I'll consider buying it either. I like that they went with the Exploree headstock instead of the Firebird headstock of the original. Looks better.

I would have preferred the narrower 3+3 Gibson headstock over this Explorer one.

And I do NOT like those dots/fret markers.

I like the solid colors over the figured tops too.

3x3 for sure. Banana headstock only looks good on explorers.
