Love that finish - I've got it on my Ibanez RGIF7, holds up really well under heavy use.
Interesting discussion on the scale length and neck fit in the body - I wonder if that's why my recent player Strat feels so nice compared to all my modern 25.4-and-more superstrats.

I find myself inappropriately aroused by this guitar. Like, probably closer to my ideal spec than any production guitar I can stumble across. Including the oil finish. God damn.

Thanks dudes!
Yeah I know scale length and where it sits in the body is generally a little too specific and nerd talk, but it’s really sumthin I pay attention to when building. That’s some of the small things I do when I build my guitars. While I’m not against building unique one-off shapes and have done it. There really is a level of R&D that goes into finding all the little quirks and tweaks of new designs. It honestly could take years to perfect! So most of what I do is take cool designs I like, where basically that R&D is done and then i just further tweak it. And one of the things I often look to perfect on ANy guitar I build is that feel of the first fret. I’m gonna post soon a build I’m just about done with for my buddy. A old School Charvel Star shape. I’ve built a number of these based off the original. Which has flaws for sure! But I love the feel of it anyway. And his has all my tweaks and little changes and it seriously feels perfect for the Star shape. I pretty much remedied all the issues I had with the OG version. And one of those was a slight change in where I set the neck in the body

That's sick dude and I love the no nonsense 1 hum guitars. Neck pickups and toggles have their place but damn....the one guitar I let vet away was the 1 Hum 2005 charvel Reissue and it was incredible. Yours looks pretty similar

If the guitar hangs oddly on my shoulder and the 1st fret access/feel is goofy, the guitar is not for me.Endtime wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 8:20 pm Thanks dudes!
