Good question, no there are no buttons midi is required. There is usb midi and the 3.5’s for in and out. There is an option for some kind of relay switching from certain pedals I think that is a 3.5 to 3.5 cable.
cc0 for tip can open close ( and an option to just flip whatever is currently set) cc1 for ring, and cc2 for both tip and ring. Then there are some more advanced options to program whatever you need to a pc command but I don’t have a need for that.
