I had the first practice with it today. Sounded great!!! Definitely loud enough and no need at all for the bigger version. I stayed on the OD channel with the gainat 5 for the most part and it sounded amazing. Barely needed a boost for leads (but I boosted anyway lol) and it rolls back to cleans perfectly.

I tried the Crunch mode in the Normal channel too and that sounds like a good Marshall, very cool option to have, but I bought this amp for the OD channel and man does it deliver!!

Really happy with this purchase. I was reluctant to pay this much for a 30w but this sounds more like 50w to me. Definitely worth it.

So you’re saying it’s a keeper. That’s awesome! Maybe I might want to look into one of these also…

Man, for a "modern" high gainer, I can't think of anything better. I've been through some Mesas, EVH etc and they're fine but the Soldano is the high gain tone in my head.

Yeah I’m sure it’s the tone in my head too. A buddy local to me also wants one for those late 80s Clapton tones. I know I’d get some good mileage out of that amp myself.

The old-school SLO had a wonky effects loop; how’s it fare, under the new regime?

They're using the Friedman loop now. It's probably the best loop currently in the market.

Yeah the new SLO loop is bad ass

Glad to hear it passed the band test. It certainly feels like a healthy 50 watt amp.

Plus you got Purple, the best SLO color :D
