Used Roland Cubes always seemed like a good, cheap option, and sound pretty decent.

I snagged an open box Blackstar ID Core 10 V3 open box for 99.00. Supposed to arrive today. 10 watts stereo and 8 lbs.

I played through one of those Blackstars when I was doing a guitar trade. If I remember, I was surprised that it actually sounded pretty damn good and really big for its size. I expected it to sound boxy and plastic like, but it did not.

6534+ mode on Vypyr VIPs is a great sound for a practice amp. Not even joking.

If you have good monitors then another option would be a NDSP plugin of your choice. Pretty decent for home jamming.

I use a Pocket Pod into some cheap monitors.
Sounds pretty good.

Anyway, I grabbed an ID Core V3 10 watt stereo for $99.00 open box. It's got a lot of features for the price.

I use an old Rockman X100 headphone amp through computer speakers on my computer desk. I love that thing. Also have a Roland Cube 15 watt amp I got at a yard sale for $10 and a 12 watt Orange Crush amp.
All the same gear as Guitarmageddon uses ;)
