Yeah, sounds badass. I had gen 1 and it sounded amazing especially for the money. Never tried it through a 4x12, guess I should have. It was no slouch even as a combo as it saw a lot of play time sitting next to Splawns, Engls and a Cameron.

I'm glad this one has the phone app. I recently bought a Fender GTX 100 and I love the phone app. I can try a tone before I download it. I went through every Showman and Bassman tone on their site before I picked my favorite and used that as a launchpad for a good clean tone. I did the same thing with the Uberschall and Plexi. That gave me clean, rhythm and lead. Add a boost, reverb and delay and it's off to the races. I can't use midi with the GTX like I can with my Vypyr, so I'll probably end up ditching it. But I've already gigged with it and it sounded pretty good. The Katana 3 does have midi control, I like that. I like to have 3 small midi pedals, as opposed to one big one. I have avoided the Katanas because I'm not really a twist dials all day kind of guy, but this one may be an option now.

I have a Mk1 head, I always was annoyed about the lack of an app to change out the effects loaded to the amp. I recall updating the firmware on it was a pain in the ass too. Other than that, I used to play though it a lot through a crappy cab I made from an old combo. I have also used it with a captor to use IR's. Haven't used it much in a while just because when I record, I am usually using either a tube amp with captor or my Peavey Rockmaster preamp.
