Just stumbled across a vid of Chimaira (didn't know that they were local to me) starting tour rehearsals and they were using a 6505 and 6505+.

they had a couple albums in the early/mid 00s that were classic 5150 tones
Those guys had all the hype back in the day. I remember first hearing about them at the New England metal Fest. Those guys and the red cord were the bands everybody was talking about

the first EP they had in i think 99 was on east coast empire records, which was mainly a CT hardcore label a couple of my friends bands were on, when they signed them everyone was like why did they sign this nu metal band from the midwest that plays 7 strings and has a DJ and shit, i think i was the only one that dug them, next thing you know they got on roadrunner and all the big fests. those first couple roadrunner albums were great but then i remember by the third album the singer was the only original one left and i just lost interest, think ill bust those albums out now

I was a big fan of Chimaira back in the day. Definitely where my 5150II love started. Less so of The Red Chord, but they were cool, too. Forgot about that band. I thought this song was cool.
