Pedal Recommendation - Pitch Shift

Post by gibson5413 »

I am looking to add a pitch shift to my pedalboard. I bring two to three guitars to gigs, but I thought it might be nice to add this effect if some stages are too small for multiple guitars. I am only looking to go down a half step to a full step. I know most people discuss the Digitech Drop pedal. Are there any others? I see that Electro Harmonix has the Pitch Fork pedal. I have been watching some videos but would love to hear from you all. Thoughts?

The Drop is what you need. The Pitch Fork is more like a harmonizer.

The Drop gets my vote as well. Have been using one for years.

Thanks guys! I will take a look at the Drop pedal. I've heard that the lag and feel really drop off past a half step and/or a full step with these pedals. I have always just taken multiple guitars but I am playing with a new band that does corporate gigs and weddings and they really want to have as little on stage as possible.

That has been my experience. Going down a 1/2 step is fine, a full step is noticeable but still OK, and past that requires some EQ adjusting for me.

Consider an HX one…. Not much more than a drop and the poly capo is fantastic. And the you get a whole army of other options to use at your discretion as well

I use poly capo a full octave down to fake Djent all the time. Is it perfecf? No but more than sufficient for live
