I have read that he only likes to actually deal with his famous customers/endorsers. Seems likely. And even those have seemingly dried up. Don’t hear his shit spoken about at all anymore. And I haven’t looked in years but I would bet everything but my last dollar that his site STILL isn’t updated!?...

Yeah, I got lucky. I only had to email him six weeks after my order. The pickup magically appeared a few days later.

This is an old OEM EVH tube from a previous EVH that I had. In the past, I always swapped out the stock tubes and set them aside, so now I have a shit load of them haha.

I put a Motor City Black Belt in the bridge of my black beauty and love it. Reasonably priced and it sounds killer. His communication could be way way better. But his pickups are stellar.

In my experience, tube rolling makes a difference in old amps. New stuff is designed for current tubes. So it isn't too important. I agree with this. Maybe not just old amps, but traditional amp designs. I hear a lot more difference with my Super Lead, 2204 and 1987x than with say my DSL or ENGL ri...
