But they also had a BlackStar JJN 50, which is the new signature amp for Jared James Nichols. I'm a big fan of his playing so I decided to plug it in. It actually sounded really good. Kind of a hot rodded JTM45 tone with a really good master volume and reverb. It's built on the St James platform so it's super light too.
I still have my reservations with BlackStar as far as reliability goes but as far as tones, this is one of the best new, affordable amps in the market for rock. It really sounds like an old Marshall.
I'm not sure I can get past my BlackStar prejudice to get one
