Behringer Centaur - Bill suing

I had seen the pedal and reviews before it came out and was going to buy one. Now Bill is suing Behringer over it due to implying he was involved with it and the use of the name Centaur.
I noticed they are sold out everywhere, don't know if it's because of the lawsuit and people are snatching them up hoping to sell "pre-lawsuit" centaur's for stupid prices to stupid people or if they had already been all sold out because they sound pretty identical to the real thing and look a lot like it.

It must be an exact copy if there's a lawsuit? Quite interesting. And i would definitely snag one if/when you can if you like the Klon thing or even to flip like you said.

If it is a solid Klone, wish I would have noticed that before I bought the Wampler Germanium Tumnus Deluxe. Great pedal, but I don't like having $300+ wrapped up in an overdrive.

It's about the name and logo, since they're Klon trademarks. By law you need to take action to protect your trademarks or they can be challenged.
Circuits can't be trademarked or copy written so there's no grounds for that. They can be patented but no overdrive is unique enough to be granted a patent.

Anyone get a Stoll Half Horse pedal? Mine is floating around the USPS system still, but it's supposed to be a ballsier Klon

I'll have to check out the Stoll, I figured if I wanted to get a klon type, I would probably go with the Tumnus or J Rocket Archer. For the price of the behringer, I would have bought one to try, but dipshits have been paying $150+ the last couple days. Nope.
