Supposedly, Mesa V30s from 2002-2004 are the best for metal. So I randomly found a Mesa traditional cab at GC from 2004. Swapped the speakers into my Mesa OS cab. I've had this for about a month, but haven't really messed with recording. The V30s and Redbacks I had in there before went into the Traditional cab, and then over to my drummers place lol.

These speakers sound pretty different from the other V30s I have. They're more relaxed in the mids and highs. Not nearly as aggressive feeling as the others. They seem a bit more scooped, and less hard in the midrange. Probably partially from being 21-22 years old. Anyway...here is a clip.

So this is the EVH 100S through the OS cab, V30 mic'd with a 57. Strat, but I have a Hapas Leviathan pickup in it right now instead of the Black Winter.

Are these the same clips you sent me earlier? They sound better now, more even without the crazy mids.... did you eq them?
Anyway, I like them a lot. Perfect for the style.

Yeah that’s why I sent those before posting. Something seemed off. This seems better but my ears are fried from playing song 800 times LoLoL.

They all sound pretty bad-ass. Cool tune too.
