NPD: the GOAT of boosts has come home
NPD: the GOAT of boosts has come home
Fuck yeah. I sold my old one when I was offloading a lot of my gear and I have missed it terribly.

That's exactly the goal
I also picked up the joyo LS2 clone to play around with blended dirt/boosts.

they can sound great as a standalone too. think im gonna bust mine out now, its been a while
Re: NPD: the GOAT of boosts has come home
I think it has the right character to be blended as a preamp in parallel with the chug. I can make it a all tits and ass to get the chugs to really pop
I'm eventually going to pick up a kartakou colossus and this whole solid state part will run in parallel/stereo with that into a Palmer macht.
I recently fixed up my old xp100 whammy pedal I bought in like 1997 so I'll be throwing that on the mix, too but not on the usual way. It works really great with a 5th up harmony for impossibly quick power chords, and the 4th down pitch shift tracks incredibly well to say I'm in A standard, which gets me down to E for thou single string riffage

Hell yeah, love my Metalzone. The EQ controls are twitchy sensitive with some amps, but the sculpting you can do up-front just makes it so easy to get a great gut-punch tone. Of course, it's also easy to dial in an ear-shredding mess of a tone, so it's a tricky one, but I still love it.
This and and SD-1 together can sometimes create magic too. I used them in conjunction on the bass the other day and it was like wall of deep fuzz slammin' into the chest. So much fun.

Gorgeous, but those inlays make me think somebody's stirring coffee on the fretboard.
That neck joint is wild. Seems like a tremendous amount of work.
