Gibson, the O N L Y reason these will sell is because of Metallica, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, John Sykes, etc. Do your market research, then advertise (gear demos are just advertisements) appropriately. Apparently, Kyle and the guys were told "NOT to dial it in for metal" so what you got was some turd tones that appeal to no one. They eventually let Kyle (I believe it was him) dial it in better, but that part -- surprise surprise -- was edited out of the video. Dinesh needs to work elsewhere.

Ultimately, I will not buy one because Gibson can eat a full family sized bag of shit.

I still want to try one, but nothing released so far has me pulling the trigger. They all sound very similar to my old IIC (non plus) that I sold for a reason.

It's similar to the IIC for sure. Essentially the same amp but the + has a bit more gain.

I thought about buying it, but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much money on an amp the will invariably play second fiddle to the DSL

The way Mike B described it to me, when I was inquiring on having mine modded, was it made the gain structure tighter and more modern, with more gain and saturation, and it relocated the effects loop *after* the gain stages. The IIC was closer to the IIb and such, while the IIC+ was far closer to the early Mark IIIs with the modern heavier lead channel. My issue with my old IIC was the mid honk that just couldn't quite be dialed out. I honestly preferred the Mark III

If used prices on these ever get down to like $2k-2300 then I’ll be considering it

But that’s mostly just because really I’m on a quest to own every mark

Yeah I think the III is my favorite,tbh

We just need them to reissue the Mark III for $800 and we're golden
