Do you use your Strat like a Strat?

If you play clean or lower gain, strats are hard to beat. Higher gain, a humbucker in the bridge is required.

I noticed that I had to change my pick attack on the strings and how forcefully I physically moved my wrist up or down on the strings to make the single coils bloom.

Having played Strats for the majority of my life, when I started playing my Les Paul through my DSL100H, I definitely had to readjust my picking. I guess I developed a habit of "digging in" with my Strat. But with the LP/Marshall, I had to back off and let the guitar and amp do the singing - a different kind of singing at that. So different tools for different purposes.
