Because always check out all my options. The original clip was blue straight in on the 5153. Then I posted one with the XXX with the red (Ultra channel ) boosted with an SD1. Love that old XXX. Both channels. In fact while I know the crunch is more universally liked and it is very good, I used the red most often initially and I believe that channel takes boosts better.

And then after the xxx clip I decided to boost the Blu of the el34 100 watt 5153 with the SD1 as well. It’s a toss up right now. In the room it’s even a tough choice I usually think the 5153 el34 sounds a bit ballsier but when mic’d they are neck and neck

I could be totally off bass but I kind of got the vibes of old school at the gates but more modern and through the lens of more straight up DM vs melodic Gothenburg sound.
Ithinkthats fair. We hear what we hear! Ad while I don't love At the Gates, they were one of the First Death metal bands I got into in 1992 with the Red in the Sky is ours.. By far the more death metal release they did.. Their next albums would start to dial in THEIR sound.. While I liked it, I sorta stopped listening.. Altho in 1996, I saw what still stands as my favorite show of all time.. Dissectio, which apparently was their only US tour.. So I guess we saw HISTORY!! haha.. then At the Gates, followed By Morbid Angel.. At a small club that prolly capped at 200, but easily 300-400 were stacked in there and it was total chaos.. I actually found some video from the At the Gates set a few years ago, and my memory didn't deceive me.. You just see a place that is a swarming mass.. It was an amazing night. Fuck it Ill find it ad post it!! haha

what's great is this felt like it was EVERY "big" show.. Ad it got even crazier for Morbid..

Ha that’s awesome!!! And what a fuckin lineup!!

I love dissection so much
Guitars: PRS/Gibson

For sure. Best lineup ever! Haha. I think I could say it literally was all these bands in their Prime. Plus the place was literally up for grabs the whole Night. And my buddy ran into Tomas, singer of the At the Gates, soemtime In the 2010s and brought up seeing this show, and dude remembered! And you can see at a moment In this video he tells us we are fucking Unbelievable. Cause I’ve been to and played a ton of shows, while it was definitely more rowdy back in the day as a “normal “ show, this one still stood out as the MOST. Love it
