Nope, it was me. My box consisted of the camo strap, the hideous neon fender strap, and a box of D'Addario 10-46 strings.
This years makes last year's box of sadness look like a grand prize.

Saying my box was worth $50 is a stretch but at least everything is usable. My niece is starting guitar and she will LOVE the neon Fender strap. I have been wanting try some different picks so the Dunlop assortment is nice and I can always use more velcro cable ties.

So Premier Guitar declutters their office by bundling a bunch of freebie/promotional crap they accumulate throughout the year, and selling it as mystery stockings to hopeful guitar players?

Am I understanding this right? Is there a big mystery surprise gift that everyone hopes for, or does everyone just keep their fingers crossed for anything useful?

Yes, there's good stuff in them, and odds aren't too bad. I've seen some on TGP that got a PRS MT15, a mini Peavey Infective, 100 watt Katana. Mostly smaller amps. Quite a bit of pedals too, also around 10 guitars. For $40, I'll take the chance, but damn, the last couple years have been a lot of ugly straps.
