I was gonna say, you're pretty damn close, distance-wise, to a 100-watt amp that sounds like that. But then again, I have this memory where I was at your place in Reseda, and you had something cranked inside a room, and I had to walk out.
    I remember that. It was the Laney GH100L with the master on 7

"Master on 7" -- Tell us, Billy: How much ringing and humming do you hear in an empty, quiet room? Jesus. Lol

It's funny, I had my hearing checked a few months (by a doctor not online tests lol) and it's normal. I think I have a high tolerance for volume.

My vision on the other hand :( got prescribed glasses for the first time this year

Those 90's Laney amps are fucking loud too

I used to run both a GH100S and an AOR at unreasonable volumes. Good times. Unless you're in the tree indie band who were in the next rehearsal room to us

My first good amp was an AOR 100 I bought in 1988. I really liked that amp. I need to buy another some day.

What's your feeling on Series 1 vs Series 2? I had a 50 watt of each. I would like to try the 6 knob at some point, but I won't work too hard to track one down.

I haven't played the 100 watt version of any.

Very little difference IMHO. The Series II has a proper loop while the Series I has an passive insert between the pre and power sections. But in terms of tone, they are pretty much the same. And the 6-knob is not that different either, just slightly less gain. They're all great sounding amps.

Yeah I think the reason I felt a bigger difference between the S1 and S2 is because of the cabs I was using. With the Series 1 I was running my Greenback loaded H&K cab I've had a long time, and with the Series 2 I was running it with the matching Laney cab with G12M70s.
