Issue with my Schecter?
Re: Issue with my Schecter?
My only issue with the Schecters I have tried in the past couple of years is how heavy they are. One in particular broke my heart. It ticked all the boxes: roasted maple neck, ebony board, comfortable neck profile, etc. Then I picked it up. It was heavier than the Les Paul Custom sitting near it in the store. The thing had to weigh 10-11 lbs.

That was the other issue I had with mine. I am primarily a Les Paul player but the Schecter i had was easily 9+lbs.heath wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 2:18 pm My only issue with the Schecters I have tried in the past couple of years is how heavy they are. I mean the satin finish models are like Suhrs… if Suhrs were less good.Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 8:34 am Some Schecters are cool. Usually the ones with satin finish are good. One of the issues I have with Schecters is they apply their finishes too thick, but the ones that are stained/satin don't have that problem.
Also, Dave is Dave'ing.![]()
Drew said it best. They’re basically Ibanez level. Not exactly noteworthy lmao

Extra poverty these days, just got an Iconic el34 too
Schecter is in the shop, getting a setup cuz I suck and couldn't get any relief between the string and fret...also getting a file/crown on the sides apparently.
To make it even more poor, my friend let me borrow a B52 cab. Need some v30s

(Actually, the cab is well made, put some speakers in it and you're good).

Yeah B52 cabs are the poverty gold standard. They punch above their weight class with good speakers. You can always pull the old logo and have someone 3D print a different logo if you want lol. My buddy Dave has the same B52 cab that he upgraded the speakers in and put an Engl logo on it.Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 1:33 amB52 cab? I would if the cab was mine, have a friend letting me borrow it and he wouldn't ever sell it.greatmutah wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 2:19 pmYeah B52 cabs are the poverty gold standard.
