Peavey Supreme 160 clip

Post by RaceU4her »

so ive had this supreme 160 for years, i honestly have no recollection of even buying the thing, i must have been drinking one night many years ago and scrolling ebay or something, but either way i never played the thing much at all, and its been years since i last played it. seeing these new peavey pedals and a couple others doing teal stripes i said lets see whats up... and im really surprised, this thing actually rips lol. this is my godin with a 81, T75's on the left and G12-65'ss on the right.

If that's straight in then that's a pretty sweet base tone it's got. Now try my ls2 hm2 blend trick. I bet that gets nasty as fuck but still retains a girth to it.

its strait in, honestly the smoothness is what im digging about it, sometimes i think my stuff is a little too abrasive but this has kind of a nice roundness or something im digging, maybe just a v30 layered in would grit it up nice

Sounds great. These SS Peaveys are really good. I had a Special 212 before I got my first tube amp. Played a lot of backyard parties with it

Even with the stock speaker, they're great! Some of my best music memories were made with that amp!

Some people like to hate on Peaveys, but the fact is, NO other company put so much high quality, US made gear in the hands of working musicians like Peavey did.

Hell yeah. Peavey makes some great SS tones. And before they became internet darlings you could snap them up cheap as could be. Granted, they're still not super expensive, but they aren't as cheap as they used to be. I blame us dumb fucks for posting so many great clips of them over the years. Myself included.

Sounds sick! Wish I held onto mine from 19 years ago. Never gonna pay $500+.
