Yeah, fuck my idea. Replacement is way better lol.

Ill probably do that, considered different saddles but that seems like it would be better. Here's a few pics.

Awesome looker.
Definitely would replace those screws. That bridge should be uber comfy without them sticking up into your hand.

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous for a $1400 "new price" guitar. I've had a few other Hipshot fixed bridges without that issue so idk what the deal is.nightflameauto wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:46 pm Awesome looker.

Re: NGD
Hell yeah man! Yeah I love mine. I didn't like the stock pickups for stage use (they had a squealing feedback like they're not potted or something) so I changed those out.
The Floyd 1500 is ok but the fine tuners have a rough edge on the locking screw that the gotoh 1996T's dont so I put one of those Gotoh's in and it's been awesome.
Only main compliant with the guitar is that it's just a heavy instrument. Much heavier than the Charvel.
As for the price, I think it's punching above it's weight for $1300. Lumen lays, stainless frets, Korean build quality, quality hardwood body/top, good electronics, etc. I got mine for $950 on reverb so a pretty decent chunk off the MSRP and it was B-stock scratch/dent.
My luthier is super picky with instruments and won't hesitate to tell me when a guitar I bring in is trash. I bring in every guitar that I review on my channel for him to check out and he loved the SVSS.

I had the Black Limba model with the Floyd. Aside from UPS putting a big dent in it, I loved it. I could swear it was 10lbs. though. It was a heavy sucker.
If you need saddle screws, let me know. I have a bag of short ones in Stainless Steel. I bought 2 different sizes in bags of 100. Got them for a JV Modified Strat I never kept. I was too lazy to change the pickups in it, otherwise those JVs are stellar.
