Re: Ramping up my Synergy game this week

Just noticed that the wall wart's that I have plugged into the back of the Juice Goose are going to get in the way of racking the SYN-2. Will either have to get a bigger rack, or plug a power strip into the Juice Goose to move the wall warts out of the way. these are always handy for power strips w...

Ramping up my Synergy game this week

My main rig has been a SYN-1 and PS-2 for a couple years now. About a month ago I picked up a rack kit for the PS-2 and tomorrow I am supposed to be picking up a SYN-2. Looking forward to taking everything apart and wiring it back up actually. Could use a little cleaning up on the backend and it wil...

Re: Issue with my Schecter?

My only issue with the Schecters I have tried in the past couple of years is how heavy they are. One in particular broke my heart. It ticked all the boxes: roasted maple neck, ebony board, comfortable neck profile, etc. Then I picked it up. It was heavier than the Les Paul Custom sitting near it in...

Re: Question on what alan key I need and my only issue with this Schecter

I had a Schecter Super Shredder Exotic Hardtail - Black Limba that I bought new from Sweetwater a few years ago. The frets and fretboard were awesome and the wenge neck was smooth as silk! After about 10 minutes of playing it my first finger would cramp up by the nut. Everything else about it was pr...

Re: I Screwed Up

Well, technically, the idea is to turn on the power switch first, and leave the standby switch off. This allows the tube heaters to warm up first before slamming power through them. After letting them warm up for 30 seconds or so, you flip the standby switch and you're good to go. This is what I wa...

Re: Pedal Recommendation - Pitch Shift

Thanks guys! I will take a look at the Drop pedal. I've heard that the lag and feel really drop off past a half step and/or a full step with these pedals. That has been my experience. Going down a 1/2 step is fine, a full step is noticeable but still OK, and past that requires some EQ adjusting for...

Re: Ordered the Synergy Fortin Killer Kali

After spending a few weekends with the Killer Kali, it is very versatile but also easy to dial in a bad tone. It sounds really good once you find what you are looking for, but all of the versatility creates a lot of area to make it sound bad as well. Keeping it for sure but definitely not one of the...

Re: So I bought a new LP and a Kemper

Sorry to hear about the divorce. Had one of those about 20 years ago, and sold some things I miss to this day. But the reason divorce is expensive, in most situations anyway, is because it is worth it. Painful for sure, but eventually the value reveals itself.

Re: Pedal Recommendation - Pitch Shift

The Drop gets my vote as well. Have been using one for years.
