Yea, my bro is all about the Strats and flat topped Ibanezes etc. Don't get me wrong, I love their sound, especially the single coil Strat sound, I just have a hard time playing them with my style and I'm also not a whammy bar user. ;) I would love to someday get a hollowbody humbucker guitar with t...
And here are the 5 that I own in the order I acquired them after the great reset of the unexpected losses and house fire of 2021. Taylor 514ce V-Class Moved back to MA after the Maine house went up in flames. Had no guitars. Decided on having one again and put all the money into this Taylor without ...
Here are the Guitars & Basses that belong to little bro. Some of them are nice and I like the Steva Vai Acoustic, and some of them are crap. Mostly the flat faced Strat and Ibanez electrics just aren’t for me even when they are quality. Something about the bubbled out tops of Les Pauls and PRS H...
Seems to be my best order for things. Sometimes I'm adding a Reverb via Native Instruments' Guitar Rig 7 via an Audio Interface to PC, which I'm considering replacing with a Boss RV-6 Digital Reverb Pedal.
I am happy with my Boss NS-1X because it does what I wanted from it, which is to clean up the non-musical sound of being plugged in to a heavily boosted overdrive. I can now make abrupt stops in my overdriven playing and it goes quiet quite nicely. I figure it does everything the NS2 does and more.
What I'm finding is if I'm playing clean then I don't really need the NS-1X activated and possibly take away some dynamics of the clean sound. But if overdriven a bit I can have the NS-1X on Reduction mode and it helps. If I'm extra overdriven with any heavier distortion then I definitely have it on.
Hmm. All of a sudden it just wasn’t as good. Made sure it wasn’t the fault of the added patch cables but everything was good with the connections. Switched it to Noise suppressor first in chain with the stuff in loop including the FreqOut and it wasn’t any better than the FreqOut 1st then into Noise...
Kind of a mixture of my preferences and advice I got and this is what I came up with. Guitar into the DigiTech FreqOut feedbacker > into Boss NS-1X Noise Suppressor loop send through Tube Screamer, Compressor, Tube Screamer > returned back to Boss NS-1X > out to Morley Wah > out to Boomerang looper ...
