Re: The Headbanger's Bedtime Prayer: Draelyc Approved Tone

Think this is your best stuff yet, good job! Thanks, man. I'm diggin' this stuff too. Oh, there will be vocals. Just wanna get the whole thing recorded and the instruments sitting right before. Sing it with a pirate accent!!! :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :cop: Chuck's not a pirate though. I m...

Re: Jamming some Ratt

Damn, dude. Rockin'. Ratt was one of those bands that EVERYBODY in the metal world seemed to dig, from hair-metal only to the deepest of death metal dudes. And for good reason. Those licks and riffs were always killer. And some of it's so complicated to play that even the tech-death bros sometimes g...

Re: The Headbanger's Bedtime Prayer: Draelyc Approved Tone

I was wondering how you recorded the beginning of Headbanger's Prayer! My first guess was a polarity flip with a bass cut and treble boost. Nevertheless, I dug it!!! Cool lyrics too... you should add vocals!!!! DO IT!!!! :rawk: Oh, there will be vocals. Just wanna get the whole thing recorded and t...

Re: The Headbanger's Bedtime Prayer: Draelyc Approved Tone

Sounds great! I remember Draelyc. Good guy. Lots of clips. Thanks, man. Drae was cool sometimes. My reference was only about the fact that he had a momentary obsession with his electric guitar's "acoustic" (non-amp) tone, and I used my guitar without an amp at the beginning and end on the...

Re: Rate the last film you watched

Cage has pulled some real winners out lately. He's got that western, the Old Way where you're looking at Nick Cage, you're hearing Nick Cage, but you're seeing and hearing the character at the same time. Like, it's almost impossible to believe he's the same cheese peddler he's always been. Absolutel...

Re: The Headbanger's Bedtime Prayer: Draelyc Approved Tone

Thanks, Billy. First track has bass that I haven't bothered working on mixing in properly, which is probably where the boominess comes from. Got a few other mix tricks to slap on it as well, but didn't wanna go through all that until I have all the vocs and everything put together, not to mention th...

Re: ceriatone ah-50 clip

Great riffs. That lead tone is fat. Very expressive. Nice work, man.

Re: I can only count to 4

God damn it, I love Psychostick! Using the Count at the end is a stroke of genius.

Their Gloria Estefan cover is epic as shit. Too bad I can't find a better quality clip of it.

The Headbanger's Bedtime Prayer: Draelyc Approved Tone

Long story: I suck at book promotion. So I'm writing a concept album to go with my books. That way I'll have TWO things I don't know how to promote! :cop: Anyway, main character goes through some shit. At some point his "dad" (vampire creator/sire) locks him in a storage container out in s...

Re: Speaking of 1 hum pointy headstock Strats!

I find myself inappropriately aroused by this guitar. Like, probably closer to my ideal spec than any production guitar I can stumble across. Including the oil finish. God damn.
