Re: Incoming ghost note audio RGX100 preamp
Thanks!!! I've been getting lazy in my old age so, I just ordered the Platech GPA-100 power amp from Japan. It's already set up for use in the USA... 100-120v // 50-60hz While I do like tubes, I've been playing solid state for a really long time so, I'm sure that the RGX100 and the GPA-100 will wor...

Re: I've come to realize
Anyone looked at a digital photo from 5, 10 years ago? That's how I feel about modelling. I agree. It's not a fully developed technology yet. It has nothing to do with being digital. Take digital reverb for example. You can get a Lexicon from 1985 and nothing beats it to this day. They've gotten sm...

Re: Issue with my Schecter?
Extra poverty these days, just got an Iconic el34 too  Schecter is in the shop, getting a setup cuz I suck and couldn't get any relief between the string and fret...also getting a file/crown on the sides apparently. To make it even more poor, my friend let me borrow a B52 cab. Need some v30s B...

Re: Hughes and Kettner sold to Thomann
my Switchblade was BY FAR my longest lasting amp to this point. I still love my H&K 412 cab, and while shooting it out with other cabs at local "tone fests" it regularly is picked as the best sounding cab in the groups. Hopefully this will push the company further. I have a Switchblad...

Re: Ramping up my Synergy game this week
My main rig has been a SYN-1 and PS-2 for a couple years now. About a month ago I picked up a rack kit for the PS-2 and tomorrow I am supposed to be picking up a SYN-2. Looking forward to taking everything apart and wiring it back up actually. Could use a little cleaning up on the backend and it wi...

Hughes and Kettner sold to Thomann
Thomas Blug made a cool video about, since he was there from the beginning. https://youtu.be/RAhzK254dMQ I've always liked H&K, they always were a cutting edge company and came out with a lot of innovative products. I've owned some of their amps and gear over the years and they all sounded good ...

Re: Issue with my Schecter?
Some Schecters are cool. Usually the ones with satin finish are good. One of the issues I have with Schecters is they apply their finishes too thick, but the ones that are stained/satin don't have that problem.
Also, Dave is Dave'ing.

Re: Peavey Supreme 160 clip
Even with the stock speaker, they're great! Some of my best music memories were made with that amp!
Some people like to hate on Peaveys, but the fact is, NO other company put so much high quality, US made gear in the hands of working musicians like Peavey did.
