Re: I Screwed Up
Well, technically, the idea is to turn on the power switch first, and leave the standby switch off. This allows the tube heaters to warm up first before slamming power through them. After letting them warm up for 30 seconds or so, you flip the standby switch and you're good to go. This is what I wa...

Re: LTD M200FM - Pickups?
X2N sounds like a brick. Lots of output and low end. I guess I can't say it's "bad" because it does exactly what it claims to do, but it's a tone I have zero use for. Super 3 is a great pickup for superstrats, similar to the Super Distortion but with rolled highs and added low end. The id...

Re: LTD M200FM - Pickups?
I ended up with this guitar as part of a trade. It's the older neck thru version with inlays and bound neck. It needed some minor work. I had to plug the Floyd bushing holes and re-drill them because they were completely fucked up. Fortunately, the rest of the guitar is like mint. Now I'm getting r...

LOL, now a 30 watter pops up for the same price, but it's a 2 hour drive.

Re: Budda V20 Superdrive
Yes, Jeff Bober (Budda's original owner/designer) is local to me and I've taken a few amps for him to service and had the chance to play through a lot of his amps (Budda and his new company East Amplification). They all sound awesome. They're NOT metal amps at all, but they have a thick, liquid roc...

Re: Mesa F100 temptation
I really liked my F-30. Seems like a great deal. Buy it, convert it to a head, sell the speakers.

Budda V20 Superdrive
I've never owned a Budda. Never played one either. There's a minty V20 Superdrive 1X12 combo for sale near me. $640 Sounds like a good deal. Anyone have any experience with Budda stuff? Re: NAD!!!!
Nice score! I always wanted to try one of Mesas Marshallesque amps. Triple Crown, Royal Atlantic, and Electradyne. I'm not sure about the Stilettos because I've often heard that they're ice picky, but I'd grab one if it was super cheap.
