Fell back in love with my empress reverb

So, I’ve always liked my empress reverb. The interface kicks ass. It does a lot of sounds. The real time control with the left switch does cool stuff i. Virtually every mode. It’s inspirational

I’ve always complained about the weird sounding plate, and how it doesn’t do subtle or normal very well. I also felt like it was screwing with my dry tone at times.

So, it’s been on and off the board over and over.

Today, I finally hooked it up in stereo.

Plus, i screwed with the eq and mix a bit more. It sounds SO good. The plate, ghost, lofi, mod(trem), beer, and plate modes sounded ridiculous today. Especially in stereo.

I’ve screwed around with a lot of shitty stuff to try to recreate sounds that this pedal does well. They can’t do it.

This is a sleeper. The interface is so nice. It sounds really lush.

Never tried an empress but always was interested from way back in the day thanks to my steady diet of Andy from pro guitar shop and his 65 amps soho

Yeah it's a killer reverb. Empress does not have a bad pedal, or even one that's just okay. Everything they make is outstanding. Great company.

That's awesome. Glad you're back to digging it. Does this mean you've already put the Meteore on the back burner?
