Help Needed... Does anyone have a 21 fret Fender?

I'm working on a guitar body for a friend and he wants to use this USAGC conversion neck but none of the measurements are lining up like I expected. Can anyone out there with a 21 fret Fender tell me the distance from the nut to the heel? Should be around 18.375.

"Conversion" to what, exactly? A smaller scale length?

Yeah, exactly. I've typically seen 24.75 conversion necks and that's what USAGC has listed on their site but nothing it's quite lining up as I expected.

18 and 3/8s. So 18.375. Measured my MIM Standard Strat. Measured from nut to middle of bottom end of fretboard/heel.

What is the measurement from the front of the nut to the 12th fret?

Mine is a MIJ Hohner but it's a great copy of a 70s strat. 18.375 from nut to heel.

It's measured 12-5/16. So pretty close. With that measurement the bridge should end up at 24.625".

However when I put it on a fender body it ends up around 12.75". So off by 0.125. It might be enough to intonate but it's still pretty far off. Normally I would put a mustang bridge further than .0625" behind the scale line.

I may rig it together and see how it intonates

So I think you are going for a short scale based on your last post. If you have a reading of 12 5/16 from nut to 12th fret. A 25.5 scale fender doesn’t change the heel or where the fretboard sits it just adds the fretboard overhang for the 22nd fret. But if you are going off a mustang or whatver are their shorter lengths, I’m not sure anyone gave you the right answer since you really didn’t specify that.

But I have a Warmoth 24.75 conversion and it’s 17 23/32nds to be exact or just shy of 17 3/4
