So this past Wednesday was my birthday. I'm fucking 50 now. FML

But anyway, my wife got me this for my birthday:



It's a 1987 Charvel Model 6. (I originally thought it was '85, since that's what it was being described as, but the serial number dated it to '87).

We practically stole this guitar. It was at Atomic Music and it was listed at $350. But because it was my birthday they took another $100 off). So $250


Anyway, this guitar is awesome!!! The neck feels great, actually better than the USA Soloist I had. The pickups and electronics are all stock and sound great. It has an active mid boost circuit that is really great. Drives my 2203 front end really well. I'm sure it was made with 800s in mind since that's what was being used back then.

Really stoked about it. I'm considering getting a second one since I'll be using live.
