90s death metal in a box. Sounds sawesome!
I like 5150s. The rest of you bullshit amps can get fucked.

Yeah it sounds great. Like I always say, it seems that amp companies have unlearned how to make great SS amps these days.

Re: vh140c
It’s pretty much the only SS amp I still want. The VH140C is a monster amp. That was peak design from Ampeg/SLM.
More guitars than anyone could need

Re: vh140c
thanks dudes, really want to try one of those SNK remakes they did, if its as good as the original which it may be with the added depth and presence controls, id pay the $1k
Re: vh140c
Iirc correctly, ampeg had a patent on the underlying tech and were quite aggressive in defending it even long after they stopped producing it. It lapsed a few years ago, so I'm surprised that it's not come back into play. Granted the kids today will just buy a nano cortex and go straight to FOH along with the e-kit since it'll all be triggers anywayGuitarbilly wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 1:05 pm Yeah it sounds great. Re: vh140c
Sounds pretty spot on man! I know the 90s “death metal” label gets applied to it. But it’s very 90s hardcore/thrash to my ears. Still a great vibe and tone.
