Decided to go ahead and order a DC7 today along with the necessary adaptor and doubler needed to power the stomp with it . Heard nothing but good things about cioks. In the past when considering power supply’s never felt like their offerings had enough outputs for my needs (although also being stupid there probably because it looks like they sell daisy chains that work with the outputs and there’s plenty of mA to go around?)


But yeah with the kind of streamlined approach on my board I’m doing with the stomp the DC7 has the exact number of outputs I need

The usb is also nice because I have the mvave chocolate midi switch on my board too, and while it’s awesome the idea of having something that’s just rechargeable on my board makes me a bit uneasy but that’s an easy plug in right there for that

There's nothing better in the market IMHO. It senses each pedal need and reroutes the amperage accordingly so as long as you don't go over the max, you can plug pretty much anything on any of the outputs. It also keeps the voltage to an exact 9v (or 12, 18 depending on how you set it), regardless of the wall power. Super quiet too, since there is no transformer. I can't recommend them enough.

That's sweet man. My old PP2+ is still hanging on but if/when it ever dies I'm probably going Cioks.

They had this little blurb on their site regarding the HX stomp and it’s insane power draw, I went ahead and ordered those two with it, it was only an extra $8 and given some recent issues I’ve had not trying to take any chances

But presumably if I was trying to utilize more pedals than outlets available since most things aren’t -that- power hungry I could daisy chain like a drive or 2 out from another pedal without issue right? Only difference would be that that grouping of pedals wouldn’t be isolated from each other?

That’s what I’m currently using and it’s great but just not quite enough juice for me now. My plan is to use the old voodoo for an auxiliary board of all the other pedals I have on my shelf right now

Yes that's fine. As long as you don't group pedals in front of the amp together with pedals in the loop, you're good to go.

Nice! I've been wanting to get one, I like the thinner profile since my board doesn't have much clearance space underneath it.

Nice! I just got the SOL a couple weeks ago and it's great!

I love my DC7. My Voodoo Lab unit served my well for well over 10 years, and was still working, but it didn't meet the needs of my board and still introduced noise in certain setups. The DC7 resolved them all.

I replaced my old PP2 (OG, no +) with a Cioks SOL. Works great, seems well built, 660w taps, no complaints.

No complaints about the PP2 either. It's around 20 years old now with zero issues, however the 100w taps were starting to become problematic.
