I've been keeping my eyes open for an HSS style guitar. And this pickup configuration seems like something I'd love.

It's a great guitar, different than the typical Ibanez. It feels and sounds very much like a modern HSS strat. Pickups are great and the trem is very stable.

Probably my favorite Ibanez. If they made it in a satin black I would own it already. The neck carve is super comfortable (not a wizard neck profile) and the pickups are well matched and sound great.

Is anyone familiar with Jet guitars? I'm looking for an HSS style guitar with a Gotoh/Wilkinson style trem. Or even a hardtail. I have enough FR bridge guitars.

I played one of the Jet guitars a few months back at a local shop. For the price they were decent guitars. They were punching above their weight/price range honestly. The one I played was charvel/jackson like and for that super strat thing was pretty good.

Everything about it is sweet, but I wish it was Japanese instead of Indonesian. I know that's silly.

How would you compare the Jet you played to the Ibanez?

I played a few Jet guitars at Atomic Music. They're well made and sound/play fine. Nothing really exciting about them, but I don't have anything negative to say about them either. Action, intonation, tone, hardware were all decent and without issues. A pickup upgrade to Duncans or similar would probably be a good idea. The OEMs are passable though. Most import guitars these days are decent and Jet is no exception.

Looks super cool tbh.
Ive been on a quest myself for a HSS but moreso trying to figure out exactly what year and model Strat Jon Levasseur uses.
I would snag up that ibanez if the price is right.

Don't know about the Ibanez but the schecter nick Johnston signature is pretty sweet and in a similar vein
